July 25, 2017 – Meridian, Idaho – CapEd members, business leaders, and the community were on hand to see the future of banking! CapEd Credit Union hosted an early sneak peek of the soon-to-be-opening South Nampa Member Convenience Center at the corner of Overland and Meridian Roads. Opening in November 2017, it will be one of CapEd’s two newest locations opening this year (CapEd broke ground recently at its upcoming Twin Falls Member Convenience Center).
The main feature was a virtual reality tour of the interior and exterior of the new CapEd location provided by SLICHTER UGRIN ARCHITECTURE. Members, staff, and guests were encouraged the sign the cement of the vault exterior to leave their mark on this special day.
Remarks were made by CapEd CEO Todd Erickson, CapEd Executive Vice President & Chief Operations Officer Mike Hill, and Senior Vice President of Marketing and Business Development Todd Christensen. The new South Meridian location will contain member convenience pod counters for one on one member interactions. It will also include ATMs, drive-thru services, and a mortgage loan office.
Meridian Mayor Tammy de Weerd spoke about the explosive growth of new businesses that have chosen to build in Meridian and shared her excitement of CapEd opening another location in the Meridian area. Also in attendance were members of the Meridian Chamber of Commerce, Treasure Valley YMCA, and Idaho GOP 2018 Gubentorial candidate, Tommy Ahlquist.
