Camp Millionaire 2011 was on Aug. 3 and 4 and it was a huge success! There were 17 campers with all kinds of different personalities and talents. The group blended nicely and learned a lot together. One of the campers was surprised to walk in the first day and find that there were so many kids there. He was sure that a camp about finances wouldn’t have very many kids. Some of the activities, games, and points of discussion included: making a business plan with a name, logo, slogan, and commercial; the stock market and the economy; financial responsibilities that come with adulthood; saving and retirement; the importance of being involved in and giving back to the community; thinking about ones dreams and how they might achieve them. Here are a few photos of the kids during some of the activities.

Look for information at the beginning of next summer for Camp Millionaire 2012. A camp about finances is actually pretty fun!

We were out of town but would have loved to have our kids join. We live in Idaho City and were wondering if there was a way to do an online class?

Just a thought from us mountain folk. : )

We do not offer an online Camp Millionaire simply because there are so many interactive activities, as you can see in the photos. It’s a two day camp from 9 am until 4:30 pm if you’d be willing to drive your kids over to our Main Office. The leader of Camp Millionaire, Tracy in Marketing, does teach Financial Literacy in the classrooms and would be more than willing to go to Idaho City if a teacher were to ask her and if there were enough students. Talk to your kids’ teachers and see what they think, or else get ready for Camp Millionaire next year! Thanks for your comment!
