Ed Word interviewing a local young reader

January 31, 2018 – Meridian, ID – CapEd Credit Union is proud to reveal Ed Word the Bookworm™, CapEd’s early child literacy and reading ambassador.

Ed Word the Bookworm™ will be making his public debut during sponsor breaks on Idaho Public Television’s newest addition, Idaho PBS Kids Channel, which can be viewed on digital channel 4.5 or streaming at idahoptv.org/kids/. During these appearances, Ed Word will be interviewing local young readers about their favorite books. These interviews will be an on-going feature on the Idaho PBS Kids Channel, and will be updated on a quarterly basis.

In Ed Word the Bookworm’s role as a literacy advocate and reading ambassador, Ed will be making frequent live public appearances to promote the importance of reading to young readers. Venues will include Kids’ Day and the Nite Glow events during the Boise Balloon Classic, Read to Rise school visits and assemblies, Boise’s Art in the Park, as well as other opportunities that will be announced in the future.
